BEST BALL/SCRAMBLE

With this option, Side Action Tracker allows you to either play Best Ball or a Scramble. Both can be played with the Additional Groups option allowing you to play with up to 144 players at the same time!

Best Ball is simply where each golfer hits his own ball throughout the round but after each hole, only the best score amongst the team members is recorded and counts as the score for the whole team for that hole. Typically this is played with two player teams but can be played with up to four player teams as well in the Additional Groups option.

Best Ball can be played in combination with a variety of other games as well such as Nassau, Stableford and Skins.

In a Scramble, all players will hit a tee shot and the team will then choose the best shot of the group. The other players will then pick up their balls and proceed to the chosen shot. All players will then play from that point and continue the process until the ball is holed. The ball may be moved one club length no closer to the hole but must remain in the same cut. Balls on the green may be moved six inches but no closer to the hole. This game can be played with team sizes from two to four players.
